In this paper, a super-high frequency power amplifier (PA) circuit is designed based on the substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) technology at 9 GHz. By applying SIW technology, the PA circuit has outstanding advantages such as low radiation loss and high integration with planar components. A new input/output impedance matching circuit model is proposed by using a diamond-shaped compensated open-loop resonator (CSRR) on the SIW. The CSRR has advantages such as compact size, high selectivity, and integration on the SIW, thus suitable for designing a good quality impedance matching circuit. The CSRR structure on the SIW is optimized for good impedance matching at the input and output. The co-simulation results show that the SIW PA circuit achieves a PAE of 48.05%, with an output power P out  of 35.1 dBm, and a power amplification factor G of 11.1 dB at 9 GHz.
